The aircraft was first flown 12-May-75 by Eric Bucklow and was displayed at the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget Airport (wearing show number 233) late May 1975. The aircraft was delivered to RAF Lossiemouth 26-Jun-75 for No 226 Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) wearing the code '24'. It was repainted at No 5 Maintenance Unit (MU) in all-over wrap-around camouflage in Mar-77 and loaned to No 54 Squadron in Jan-80. It was placed into store at RAF Shawbury by Apr-85, and then assigned to ground instructional duties with No.4 School of Technical Training (SoTT) at St Athan, to DARA Technical School with maintenance serial 9009M. The aircraft was bought by Hayward and Green Defence Ltd and was transported to Winterpick Business Park at Wineham by Feb-07.On 26-Sep-09 it was moved by road to Bournemouth Aviation Museum for display. XX763 is on permanent loan to the museum from Hayward and Green Defence Ltd.

She is being repainted in the wrap-around camouflage and eventually we will fully restore her by adding the tail code ‘24’ and the 226 OCU crest (an Olympic style torch crossed with a sceptre).
